TALK SAVES LIVES : INTRODUCTION TO SUICIDE PREVENTION FOR CAREGIVERS

  • Eagle Public Library, Community Room 600 Broadway Street Eagle, CO, 81631 United States (map)

Registration is open for our upcoming "Talk Saves Lives" program on Wednesday October 22,  5:30p-7:00p at Eagle Library (Community Room), co-hosted SpeakUp ReachOut and Caregiver Connections. This program is FREE and OPEN to the public, and includes dinner.

This interactive program is for anyone - older adults, family members, or caregivers. Aging adults and family caregivers are at increased risk for suicide due to health conditions, social factors and economic demands that can lead to isolation, depression or mental health struggles. Learning how to recognize it, have the difficult conversations and knowing the resources available can help save lives. This special Talk Saves Lives program is a community-based introduction to suicide prevention specifically for older adults, caregivers and family members, covering the general scope of suicide, research on prevention and what people can do to save lives. Discussing suicide has the power to heal. Learn how to open the dialog with those you love.
